Tasting - Foris
Name - Foris
Variety - Pinot Gris
Country- United States, Oregon
Year - 2011
Price - $12.95
Shop/wine critic/winery review - Lightly spicy, fruit-laden Pinot Gris. True varietal flavors of pear and apple are perfectly set against vivid acidity.
My Review - The color of this wine was green apple. The aroma featured apple pie spice and pears. The palate was incredibly smooth, medium acidity, and tasted like apple pie with extra spice. This wine surprised me and I was shocked at how good it was. I was expecting average and got incredible. Rating 10/10.

Variety - Hondarrabi Zuri
Country- Spain

Shop/wine critic/winery review - Young, Fruity, Dry white wine with high acidity and medium alcohol content. As a result of the fermentation process, this wine is slightly sparkling, producing a tingle on the palate and full range of aromas.
My Review - This is definitely the first time I have had this varietal and when I first saw the name I thought it was a japanese. The color of this wine was dark yellow. The aroma had hints of lemon and lime. The palate had intense tropical fruit flavors, high acidity and a refreshing crispness. This wine reminded me of moscato and was very good. Rating 8.5/10.

My Review - I bought this wine on sale at Vintage Cellar and it was the first rose I have purchased this far, so I was looking forward to trying it out. The color of this wine was pink pomegranate and very light strawberry. The nose had berry and a dry sparkling wine scent. The taste was dry, medium bodied, and mildly acidic. This was an interesting wine to try out, but it was average at best. I was hoping for a sweeter taste, but this was relatively dry and lacking in flavor, even though the aroma was pleasing. Rating 6/10.

My Review - This is my fourth yellow tail purchase and I like this brand, because of the balance between quality and price. These aren't the best wines on the market, but they are above average. The color of this wine was a pale yellow. The aroma was somewhat lacking and offered a slight lemon scent. The taste was smooth, semi-sweet, and thin bodied. Rating 6.5/10.

My Review - This was cheap wine I bought from Wal-Mart just to have some wine at my place. I had been trying a ton of red wines and just wanted to switch it up with a white. This one is about as plain as it gets. The color of this wine is a pear green/yellow tint. The aroma was lacking and I got a small hint of apple/pear spice. The taste was plain, relatively smooth, but lacking in body. Rating 6/10 - Not a bad wine, but just average across the board.
